Nice place to fish for perch, and very photogenic. You can jump off the end of the pier to swim as well. Can be very bright when the sun is out with all the sun reflecting off the water, so bring sunglasses or be prepared to squint. Lots of available parking, and a small park nearby to entertain small children. Dangerous when the water is high because you can get swept away.

Enjoyed many visits here as a child. My Mom loved to walk the pier with her children and grandchildren, especially on windy days!! Her request when she passed, was to spread her ashes here. ( It could definitely use a paint job - so unfortunate that it is covered in graffiti). We still enjoy our visits.

The air is very fresh and the sounds of the water are very soothing :) while walking along the peer you may encounter a sqwaky seagull or two and potentially get sprayed with wave water but those aren't really bad things. All around a good place to go as a day trip :)

Very nice experience, the place is clean, the nature is wonderful and fishing is fun... We were not lucky with fishing a bit, but we saw some people who were lucky with fishing! Maybe we are inexperienced. Good luck to everyone who decided to go and enjoy there.

On a windy day the waves are crashing onto the piere. Its a nice walk out the lighthouse and along the marina. There is a small park geared at age 5-12 aged children. Its the perfect spot for a picnic or a nice stroll.

There are good opportunities for shore fishing all along the pier here, and there is a ramp from which you can launch your boat for free. If you have a boat you can venture out into Lake Eirie or go down the grand river.

Beautiful pier and plenty of photo ops. The lighthouse is not open but still really nice to see it still in tact. There are benches all along to sit if needed. It is always nice to see people fishing on the pier. Worth the drive!

Great place for fishing.....deep water and good for bottom bouncing....have seen some huge White drum, channel catfish, small mouth bass and white bass here ...good place to visit....bait shop yoo right at the spot.... friendly people

Small little town of approximately 100 residents. Beautiful cottages along the shoreline. Great pier to walk out to either fish or go swimming. Free parking and boat launch.

During the winter time. It's dangerous with the amount of black ice, but it's absolutely beautiful with the powerful waves and the snow colliding with the lights

Busy place during daylight hours, but the nights are splendid. Love going here on hot nights where there's always a slight breeze to cool down and star gaze.

Went to see the coast guard break up the ice at the mouth of the Grand River. Pretty exciting to watch

To fish for sheepshead, best time of day is around sunrise and sunset. West wind better than east wind. Worm on bobber works just fine.

Nice places, mind-fresh, but need a drinking water tap and good restrooms. The portable washrooms are always dirty and also unhygienic.
